College Essay Counseling and Editing

Welcome! I’m Cat Bramhall, a magna cum laude graduate of Princeton University, and long-time alumni interview volunteer for the school.  I spent much of my career writing and editing — everything from software guides to business studies — and now offer assistance to high school students to improve their writing, particularly for college application essays.

I hope we can work together!

Cat is the best essay writing tutor I have ever met.  She spoke my daughter’s language and transformer her writing.  She turned assignments that sometimes felt like drudgery into a good time.  Their sessions were full of energetic conversation and laughter.  Cat excited my child about writing.  She always managed to make my daughter feel smarter and more capable of doing her best writing, rather than criticized or incompetent.  Within one school year my child’s essay grades went from Cs to A+s consistently.  Her confidence and happiness at school increased tenfold.  My daughter, I can easily say, is now a better essay writer than I am and she embraces essay writing with passion and enthusiasm.
